Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” – Warren Buffett

Every web site or project is different, which makes it impossible to give a flat price for it.

1. HOW MUCH DOES A WEBSITE COST?

This is one of the most common questions we’re asked. And, of course, there is no simple answer (you didn’t really expect there to be one, did you? 😉
First, let’s set some parameters to narrow down the elusive answer to this question: You can spend anywhere from a few dollars to a few million dollars.

At the very low end ($20 – $1000 for a website), you have hobbyist web designers that aren’t really professionals most of the time. And of course, you’re going to get what you pay for. At the very high end, you have mega companies that charge 6 and 7 figures.

But to call a project like that a “web design” isn’t really fair. Those are typically all-encompassing systems that are beyond the scope of this article. A professionally designed website from a reputable, established web design firm will typically run anywhere between “a few thousand” and “low six figures.” We know that still doesn’t help you. .

2. THE STRATEGY PHASE

This is the foundation. Get the strategy right, and all the rest will follow. Fortunately, we have people who live for this kind of thing – and have experience doing it for large companies as well as tiny start – ups. In the Strategy Phase, we define the site architecture, navigation, and wireframes, and we develop the visual designs for the project. This is where we help you to see what it is we’re going to build.

3. THE EXECUTION PHASE

We admit it – this is where the real fun begins. We take the design concepts completed in the Strategy Phase and code them into a working website. All application functionality is developed. We configure the databases, set up the servers and stage the site for pre-launch review & testing. Your website becomes real. And if you don’t start getting goosebumps, something’s seriously amiss.

4. THE LAUNCH PHASE

The culmination of our hard work – and yours. Everything is tested and ready to go. We prepare a launch plan that outlines the specifics of “go live,” and have a rollback plan ready just in case things don’t go as planned. Once launched, we test the site and put ourselves on standby to complete any final fixes. Your website starts to make things happen. And nothing’s more fun than that.
